Hello everyone! So, I am not a natural writer, but I'd like to start putting a letter in each of our emails to share what is happening and what things The Crystal Ballroom Team and I are developing behind the scenes. First of all, we are so thankful to all of those who have supported us through Membership, Purchase of Lessons, and Attendance during the past year. It has been a full year since the pandemic prevented many of you from being a regular part of our studio, and we are grateful for all of the support during that time. Secondly, we have been monitoring the State of Ohio's mandates and Health and Safety standards, we even called the Ohio Department of Health this week to check on what we are allowed to offer at this time. They told us that everything we've done up to this point has been within their guidelines and they are in full support of our Masked Mixer Parties, as well as our Saturday DJ'd Practice Parties. You are never too old to start dancing socially or competitively!

Although it can be scary to start dancing without experience, a first lesson uses the skills you already have to introduce the movement of dance into your body. We'll get to know you and your goals, then you'll sweat, experience new movements, and try out a few different dances. If you enjoy even a small part, keep going, learning, connecting! Even though you don't know anything about dancing yet, it can all be taught, and the process of learning to dance is fun, easy, and NOT scary!

So, you want to learn to dance? You look up a dance studio near you and see they have Private Lessons & Group Classes, but where do you start? Let me share the differences and the benefits of each with you.

Many people feel they need to have experience, understand basic terminology, or be built a certain way to dance, however you are perfect the way you are.

Each of us has our own story and motivation that pushed us to take that First Step… My first moment of dancing with an instructor, all the fear went away and I realized I had found an activity that I would always have in my life.
