Owner & Instructor
Amy began dancing socially in college in 2001. She began with Ballroom and continued learning through years of Vintage Swing (Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, Charleston), immersion into West Coast Swing, a trip through Latin Dancing (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk) and a quick embrace with Argentine Tango. After enjoying every dance community available to her and competing Amy discovered a love for all of the different styles of dance and different dance communities.
Before dancing, Amy had always followed her passions. She was a horse trainer in the dressage discipline for 4 years, and earned her BA in Music Education (Trumpet) with a Dance Minor and an Entrepreneurship Certificate from Youngtown State University.
Amy began her professional dance career in 2012 in the Chicagoland Fred Astaire Studios with the chance to train under many Champion dancers. She has competed professionally in International Standard and American Smooth and has her Silver Dance Vision Certifications in both Smooth & Rhythm although she enjoys dancing and teaching the other social dances as well.
In 201, after managing one of the best studios in Columbus, Amy (and her extremely supportive husband, David) decided it was time to own a studio and make her dream of supporting the local dance communities and elevating the expectations of dance studio instruction to a higher level come true.
Because of Amy's competition and social dance experiences, she can help you become a great social dancer in any style or a competitive ballroom dancer. Amy has a passion for creating connection with others through music and movement, and would love to share that passion with you!
