The Crystal Ballroom ended this past month with it's best month ever!  We've got big goals as a studio for each and every person who is interested in partner dancing to feel comfortable, supported, and educated at our studio!  Thank you for showing up and giving us support as we continue to grow and mature!

There are 3 Important things happening I want everyone to know about this week!

#1.  LaBlast Open Themed Class

LaBlast at the Movies
Saturday July 10th!

Dress as your favorite movie character and dance/workout to iconic movie music.  LaBlast Fitness Classes are similar to Zumba, no experience necessary, just follow along and do whats comfortable!  Invite all of your friends to win some GREAT Prizes! (1 Extra Raffle Ticket for each first time guest you invite that shows up!) We are lucky to have 3 Amazing LaBlast Instructors lined up to lead the class and keep it fun!  

Katy Tombaugh
Katy is our local LaBlast Master Trainer.  That means that she regularly trains with and networks with Louis Van Amstel (3x World Champion Dancer, DWTS Dancer, Founder of LaBlast Fitness), as well as certifies new instructors, and creates great opportunities to experience LaBlast around Central Ohio!  You can catch her regular classes on Tuesday evenings at 6pm!

Brittany Vance
Most of you know Brittany as the fun, supportive, ball of creative energy running around the ballroom, but Brittany is also a fitness aficionado.  She is group fitness certified and has been the backbone of our LaBlast programming here at The Crystal Ballroom! Brittany is regularly leading our Thursday 6pm and Saturday 11am LaBlast Classes as well as a stretch class on Noon Saturdays.

Rachel Chilton
Rachel is the newest member of our fitness team.  She runs a fantastic Sunday class at 5pm where everyone feels welcome and encouraged!  If you haven't met Rachel, you'll appreciate her authenticity and gentle approach.

#2. Private Lesson Price Increase
(Get a Great Deal before July 10th *Next Saturday*)

So, our studio is 2 years and 7 months old now.  We had a fantastic first year open, and survived the pandemic in our second year, we have trained staff, offered dances, lessons, group classes, and even expanded into the realm of youth and special education classes!

As you know, we've pushed through everything to create the best space possible for you... from an outstanding dance floor, to upgrading and improving our atmosphere, to staff available to dance with you at parties, to keeping certifications up to date for all of our staff while training hard to be the best teachers we can be!

With all of this said, we have invested a lot in offering you everything you could want in a Ballroom Dance Center, and it's necessary for us to raise our prices to continue to offer everything you've come to enjoy.  For now Memberships, Parties, Group Classes and Fitness Classes will remain the same, however, as of July 10th our Private Lesson Prices are increasing about $10/Lesson.  

If you are a current Private Lesson Student please ask us about our Independence Day Sale Prices (available now through July 10th).  This is your opportunity to purchase lessons at a significant savings before prices go up.  

If you are thinking about starting Private Lessons, this is the week to do it!  You can lock in our lowest rate before prices increase next week!

#3. West Coast Swing International Rally Classes ON HOLD

We have been waiting for Olivier Massart to put out the official choreography for the West Coast Swing International Rally.  He had put a post out on June 1st that he would have the choreography out by the end of June.  We have not yet seen any sign that the choreography is out.  The Monday 6:15 class is on hold until we get the Choreography (or create our own?!)  The Friday class this week is cancelled due to our Happy Hour Guest Party!!! :)


BTW, in case you were curious, YES, our Independence Day Potluck was a great event and everyone who came ate well, enjoyed the company, and danced FOR HOURS! :)  Save the Date for our next BIG EVENT!!!  The Buckeye Open Showcase on September 12th, 2021, it will blow you out of the water!  Dinner, Dancing AND a Show! :)
