Three Ways to Fundraise!

Hello Everyone,

This past week was wonderful, thanks to everyone who supported with purchases during our Summer Sale, and thanks to everyone who supported us with attending our events!

This past Friday we attended Emerald City Ballroom's Live Band Night as an Out on the Town opportunity... thanks to Jeff and Lisa for hosting those who came from our studio!

Then on Saturday we had our biggest competition rounds ever! What are competition rounds you ask? Well, those who would like a focused practice with other competitors on the floor with feedback on the Smooth & Rhythm dances will benefit from the cardio aspect of rounds, as well as being pushed to show off as performers and competitors. Thanks to everyone who came and practiced with us!!

Saturday evening was our annual Independence Day Potluck!  As always, the food was wonderful, and I can't thank my wonderful husband enough for standing over a hot grill cooking in the July heat then DJing one of our most energetic parties of the year!  Thanks to everyone who showed up, and especially the winners!  Best Side Dish went to Diane Maclam's Quiche, Best Dessert went to Sheila Wightman's Berry Tarts, and Most Patriotic Outfit went to Sarah and Randy Mercer!

So, there are a few things coming up this summer I'd like to let you know about...

Byron Saunders Foundation is a Charity we work closely with each year to help provide food for families at Thanksgiving!  We have 3 teams from The Crystal Ballroom this year...

1. Food Drive 

From now until November we'll be accepting the following items (or any other food that does not expire until at least December 2023)  Before September 10th, each item is a vote for your favorite dance team!

2. Vote/Donate online for your favorite Dance Team

Every $1 is a vote... $40 feeds a family, so I'd like to challenge each and every one of you to feed at least one family this Thanksgiving!!

3. Dancing with Columbus Stars Fundraising Event

This event is at Villa Milano on September 15th, 2023

Reserve your spot at one of our tables now!!

We are reserving tables based on who chooses to purchase tickets with us.  Your ticket purchase will be split evenly between the 3 Crystal Ballroom teams and you'll get a chance to sit with our group for the event. 

VIP Tickets are $150 (feed 3 families with this donation)

Sponsored Table Tickets are $100 (feed 2 families with this donation)

CBC Dancesport Competition

We have 19 people going to CBC representing The Crystal Ballroom!

This competition is at the Hilton in Polaris from August 17th-19th.  We are excited to be represented in Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, Formations, Shines, and Solos!!!  Plan to come and support your friends at this event!

October Studio Collaboration

Well, I don't want to give away all the details yet,  but I do want to let you know to save the date... October 21st, 2023 is an opportunity to perform, compete, spectate, etc!!

This Friday is West Coast Swing with our guest instructors Chris & Melissa Moy!!! (plus DJ Toni Carroll)

Saturday don't miss our weekly ballroom dance party at 8pm, preceded by a Night Club 2-Step Class!
