Ohio Dance Camp Weekend and Under The Big Top Showcase!

Hello Everyone,

Cedric, Mallory and I just had the chance to experience the Ohio Dance Camp Weekend hosted at The Crystal Ballroom. It was such an inspirational experience being surrounded by some of the top dancers in the world and coached in group classes and individual lessons!If I took 1 thing from the 3 days of learning it was that the basics: footwork, posture, timing and balance are truly the signs of a great dancer. Everything is built on these concepts and created to showcase the beauty and artistry of dance. We as a studio got so many compliments about the beauty of the studio, the friendliness of our clients, and the quality of our social dancers! Thank you all for helping us create a community and space that was recognized by these out-of-town (and out-of-country) dancers as a friendly community and quality programming! With that said, I have a proposal for every single one of you! I would love to share the energy of our community with the local dance scene at the end of May. Obviously our next big event is May 20th (Under the Big Top Showcase & Circus Themed Dinner/Dance), AND the next weekend is New World DanceSport Challenge downtown at the Greek Orthodox Church. This event is a small competition with fun dance events as well as competitive events. I'd like to invite every single one of you to participate in the event!

The simplest and most affordable way to participate is to join the Team Match on Thursday Night May 25th. It's 80s Night at the competition and we are building 5-10 teams to compete and represent The Crystal Ballroom!! Each team will have 4 couples dancing 1 dance each... this is a fun event and we would like to dominate the floor with The Crystal Ballroom! If you've been dancing a month or two, feel free to join, if you've been dancing for years and are past the competition phase, this is a fun way to participate, represent, and have some fun! We are offering 3 practices (first one is Thursday) leading up to this event, although you do not need to attend the practices to participate!

‍I'd like to officially invite you all to join us for Team Match Class #1 on May 4th at 6:15pm!
‍This is a free class to get more details about the event and dance through the 4 dances in preparation to be on one of our teams!! Let's GO Crystal Ballroom!

This Friday is Line Dance Night, then Saturday is our Wonderful Saturday Night Dance Party! (preceded by two levels of Tango Group Classes)!
