New Year New You Open House! WCS Friday! New Classes!!

Hello everyone!

This week we are beginning a NEW YEAR of opportunities to dance and enjoy life!

If you see David around the studio, remember to thank him for staying on top of keeping our dance floor in tip-top shape!  He once again took the winter break to refinish our dance floor so we can keep offering the best facility for you all to dance at!

If you are still interested in New Year's Eve, this is the last chance to get tickets for tomorrow night! Last minute ticket pricing is $115 for non-members, and $100 for members.  Let us know by calling or texting 614-881-4500 as soon as possible to join us for this fun speakeasy evening of dancing!

January 2nd:

Level I Tango at 7:00pm & Level II Cha Cha at 6:15pm

Our Medal classes have attracted many goal oriented people who want to consistently grow and learn the details of the ballroom dances and test out of the Levels I & II of the Dance Vision Syllabus.  We are currently booking a Level III class for Waltz for anyone who has already tested out of Levels I & II!

On December 19th the following people leveled up!

Friday January 3rd:

Our Monthly West Coast Swing Dance: Class 7pm Party 8-10:30pm

This monthly dance regularly attracts West Coast Swing dancers from Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and the surrounding areas.  We typically have about 45 people who can't wait to create a unique dance with each of their partners.  Don't miss this chance to learn some West Coast Swing or come out and dance with your Westie friends!

Saturday January 4th:

2 Hour West Coast Swing Skill Building and Audition Prep Workshop: 11am-1pm

Rostislav and I are kicking off an opportunity to be part of an educational West Coast Swing Routine.  It's only $10 to come learn as much as you can about the basics of West Coast Swing and learn about this awesome routine we will be teaching over the next 4 months!  If you want to get inspired, just look up "Glenn Ball" and you'll see why we are so excited to have a routine created by him, specifically for us to dance in Columbus!!!

Sunday January 5th:

New Year New You Open House! 12pm-1pm

If you've always thought it would be fun to try Partner Dancing, or you have a friend who thinks they have 2 left feet, or you would like to experience more confidence and poise in your daily life, or you are tired of being lonely and detached, or with the new year you'd like a new challenge... JOIN US for our New Year New You Open House!!  This is an opportunity for those new to our community or hobby to see the studio, meet the owners, ask questions, join a NO-EXPERIENCE NECESSARY group class, and learn about everything The Crystal Ballroom has to offer!

Monday January 6th:

Salsa: Spice Up Your Steps beginner friendly group class Series 7pm

This class is drop-in friendly meaning that you don't need to attend the whole series to have fun and join us!  Holly will be teaching new patterns each week as starts with the basic and builds into a fun pattern everyone can try!  No partner necessary, no experience necessary!

Wednesday January 8th:

Intermediate Ballroom Fusion & Improv class series 7pm

This class is focused on interpreting the music and creating your own style!  Learn to put together basic movements to any style of music mixing dances, styles or cues!  Amy will be sharing how to transition seamlessly, create steps, change up style and share a musical dance experience with a variety of partners!

Friday January 24th:

Buckeye Open Showcase Casting Day 7pm

Do you want your own Dancing with the Stars moment?  Join us to get the details of learning a routine to the song of your choice, with the partner of your choice to perform at our Citywide Showcase in May!  You can be part of a group number, do an individual performance with your instructor or partner, or even dance on the Amateur Competition Team in the heats with commentary!

Tuesday evening is New Year's Eve!
