Master Class, Fall Conference Early Bird Pricing, West Coast Swing Party, Oktoberfest and more!

Hello Everyone,

Tonight you have the opportunity to learn from Lisa Vegas as she comes into town to certify our instructors and pass students out of their Student Achievement Awards with Dance Vision! at 7pm Lisa Vegas will be teaching a Master Class to share knowledge to advance your dancing!  It's $30, pay at the door.

It's the last week to get Early Bird Pricing for the Fall Conference Line Dance Prep Workshop with Edie!  10am-5pm on August 27th you'll have the chance to practice and prepare!  There is an Early Bird Price on this event until August 6th, so get your tickets NOW!!!!!

This week we are excited to have a special out of town guest instructor for West Coast Swing.  Learn from Yvonne Benavidez This Friday at 7pm, then stick around for 2 hours of great music and West Coast Swing dancing!  Yvonne is coming all the way from California, boasting national and world titles.  I have heard her group classes are some of the best you'll experience!  Mark you calendar NOW for this class!!

Mark your calendars for Schmidt's Columbus Oktoberfest Dance Outing!!!  Mallory grew up in Wisconsin attending Oktoberfest, donning her dirndl, and dancing the Polka!  She is excited to share her love for German culture and dance with us!  We will be hosting Polka Prep Classes on Wednesday evenings starting August 16th. Then everyone can meet on Saturday September 9th at Noon at Oktoberfest to dance to Mike and the Polkaholics!!

Dancing with our Columbus Stars is a Charity Event we work closely with each year to help provide food for families at Thanksgiving!  $40 Feeds a Family, and we have multiple ways you can help!

3 ways to help feed families this Thanksgiving

1. Food Drive 

From now until November we'll be accepting the following items (or any other food that does not expire until at least December 2023)  Before September 10th, each item is a vote for your favorite dance team!

2. Vote/Donate online for your favorite Dance Team

We have 3 Crystal Ballroom Teams this year!

Every $1 is a vote... $40 feeds a family, so I'd like to challenge each and every one of you to feed at least one family this Thanksgiving!!

3. In Studio Fundraiser Dance!! **NEW EVENT!!!**

Mark September 8th from 7pm-8:30pm on your calendar! 

All proceeds from this dance will benefit

the Byron Saunders Foundation!   

$15 Cash or $10 Cash plus Canned Goods!  You choose which Crystal Ballroom team gets the votes!

4. Dancing with Columbus Stars Fundraising Event

This event is at Villa Milano on September 15th, 2023

Reserve your spot at one of our tables now!!  The sooner you reserve, the better the table location!!!

We are reserving tables based on who chooses to purchase tickets with us.  Your ticket purchase will be split evenly between the 3 Crystal Ballroom teams and you'll get a chance to sit with our group for the event. 

VIP Tickets are $150 (feed 3 families with this donation)

Sponsored Table Tickets are $100 (feed 2 families with this donation)

CBC Dancesport Competition

We have 21 people going to CBC representing The Crystal Ballroom!

This competition is at the Hilton in Polaris from August 17th-19th.  We are excited to be represented in Club, Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, Formations, Shines, and Solos!!!  Plan to come and support your friends at this event!

We have a sign up for anyone who would like to purchase spectator tickets to sit with us!    We'll have the most going on as a studio on Friday Morning/Afternoon, (Formations, Solo, Rhythm Competition, Rhythm Shines) Although, we will also be having fun Thursday night with Club Night, and Saturday with Smooth.  Friday and Saturday Evening are the Professional Events where you can see Cedric and Mallory take the floor in Rhythm!
