February Calendar, Which Group Class is Right for you?

Hello everyone!

Thanks to everyone who filled out our survey at the end of 2024.  We thank you for your transparency and hope to continue to improve in the areas you requested.

First of all, yes, we do have staff in training and will be adding new faces to the team soon, get ready to enjoy some great new personalities on the dance floor!

Secondly, thank you for all the feedback on group classes.  We found that some people are really enjoying the structure around the new Dance Vision Medal classes while others are eager to attend classes that are more social and fun in nature, and still others are craving more technique practice and advanced concepts.  We have begun this year with your feedback in mind and have revised it even more in February!  We will be adding another group class each week and have rearranged the schedule to suit those who reached out.

Here are the 5 types of group classes currently running...

1. Dance Vision Medal Classes

These classes are the bridge between private lessons and group classes.  They are more structured and aim to educate and advance your knowledge of the dances in 4 week series.  Level I everyone is welcome, but to attend Level II you must have shown knowledge and passed out of Level I.

Starting in February the Smooth Classes will be Monday evenings at 7:45pm while the Rhythm Classes will remain on Thursdays at 6:15pm

2. Intermediate Classes (Intm)

Intermediate Classes are typically more technique based or assume a level of experience that allows the instructor to skip ahead to more advanced concepts.  Everyone is still welcome to these classes however if you are new the material may be slightly overwhelming and hard to grasp.  Although these are typically 4-6 week series it is not required to attend weekly.

3. All Level Classes

Most of our classes fit into this category.  These classes are built to create community, share knowledge in a fun easy way, and be accessible to all levels of dancers!  We rotate partners regularly and although you're not required to rotate, it does help learning as well as building a friendlier and more close-knit community of dancers!

4. Couple's Date Night Classes

These classes happen once a month (typically on Saturday evening).  Couple's Date Night Class is one of the only classes we offer where partners do NOT rotate.  This class is all about getting to take a class with your significant other and spend time in their arms.  Each Couple's Date Night Class is beginner friendly and is early enough that you can truly make a date night out of it and make dinner reservations afterwards!

5. Saturday Night Intro & Continuing Classes

Every Saturday night we offer 2 levels of classes before our Saturday Night Party.  These classes rotate through 15 different dances and give everyone a chance to learn a few steps, build friendships, and get to know others during the quickly rotating class.  The Intro Level class assumes you've NEVER danced before (or at least are not confident yet in the basics of the dance being taught).

Tickets are now on sale for our "WILD about You" Valentine's Party on February 15th, 2025 from 7pm-10pm!

Don your animal print and have a ROARing good time with your friends at The Crystal Ballroom.  This themed and fully decorated event includes a digital photo, fully catered meal, great music and all of your dance friends!

The biggest reason we hear every year for not attending this party is that "I don't have a date"... well, you don't need one!  Our community is not built just for couples!  We have plenty of great people who come by themselves to enjoy the hobby of dance... don't worry about bringing a partner, most of the people in our community embrace the opportunity to dance with a variety of partners!  Regular pricing is available until February 1st (after February 1st there is a $15 late fee).

Do you want your own Dancing with the Stars moment?  Join us to get the details of learning a routine to the song of your choice, with the partner of your choice to perform at our Citywide Showcase in May!  You can be part of a group number, do an individual performance with your instructor or partner, or even dance on the Amateur Competition Team in the heats with commentary!

This Friday is our VIP Party for Private Lesson Students who take lessons at least once weekly!

Saturday don't miss our weekly Ballroom Dance Party with two levels of Bolero group classes at 7pm preceding the party!!!
