Dance Vision Testing Results, West Coast Swing Rally, Polka and Food Drive

What a week!  We got back our Dance Vision Testing Results...

Congrats to Cedric Eaton and Mallory Fuhrmann for completing their Dance Vision Bronze Rhythm Certification!

This past weekend was the CBC Dancesport Competition and I must say we showed up and showed out!  Thanks to everyone (22 wonderful people) who participated in ProAm, AmAm, Shines, Formations and Solos!  As a studio we won the 2nd place Studio Trophy and both of the New Dancer on the Block trophies (congrats Teresa Trees and Mike Lanning!)   Mallory & Cedric showed off their hard work dancing professional Rhythm.  We are so glad we got to see you all grow in your dancing, in your confidence, and in your teamwork!  We're looking forward to planning the next event with everyone!!  If you danced at CBC with us, or are a Regular Private Lesson Student, we look forward to you attending our Friday Post-Competition Celebration and Student Appreciation Party!! 

So, you asked, and we listened, many people have mentioned that they still want to do a West Coast Swing Rally even though the International West Coast Swing Rally was not put out this year... so join us on September 2nd at 4:00pm to experience a complimentary first class and learn all of the details!  Two years ago, I asked Stevie Bliss to help me by choreographing a fun - all levels West Coast Swing Routine for our community, and it's time to dust it off and let Columbus enjoy it!  Listen to our song... Also, don't forget to get your ticket for our CASH BASH Table - November 23rd - 26th is the Annual Cleveland WCS Weekend, Workshops, and Competition.  We are putting a group together to go, learn, and hang out and even share rooms and rides.

Polka Classes continue THIS Wednesday 

Mark your calendars for Schmidts Columbus Oktoberfest Dance Outing!!!  We had a fantastic turn-out for last week's class and would also love to include you at our outing and in our classes!  Mallory grew up in Wisconsin attending Oktoberfest, donning her dirndl, and dancing the Polka!  She is excited to share her love for German culture and dance with us!  We still have 3 more Polka Prep Classes on Wednesday evenings, then everyone can meet on Saturday September 9th at Noon at Oktoberfest to dance to Mike and the Polkaholics!!

Dancing with our Columbus Stars is a Charity Event we work closely with each year to help provide food for families at Thanksgiving!  $40 Feeds a Family, and we have multiple ways you can help!

3 ways to help feed families this Thanksgiving

1. Food Drive 

From now until November we'll be accepting the following items (or any other food that does not expire until at least December 2023)  Before September 10th, each item is a vote for your favorite dance team!

2. Vote/Donate online for your favorite Dance Team

We have 3 Crystal Ballroom Teams this year!

Every $1 is a vote... $40 feeds a family, so I'd like to challenge each and every one of you to feed at least one family this Thanksgiving!!

3. In Studio Fundraiser Dance!!

Mark September 8th from 7pm-8:30pm on your calendar! 

All proceeds from this dance will benefit the Byron Saunders Foundation!   

$15 Cash or $10 Cash plus Canned Goods!  You choose which Crystal Ballroom team gets the votes!

4. Dancing with Columbus Stars Fundraising Event

This event is at Villa Milano on September 15th, 2023

Reserve your spot at one of our tables now!!  The sooner you reserve, the better the table location!!!

We are reserving tables based on who chooses to purchase tickets with us.  Your ticket purchase will be split evenly between the 3 Crystal Ballroom teams and you'll get a chance to sit with our group for the event. 

VIP Tickets are $150 (feed 3 families with this donation)

Sponsored Table Tickets are $100 (feed 2 families with this donation)
