CBC Dancesport Competition, All Levels Country 2-Step Class, West Coast Swing Rally and more!

Hello Everyone,

It was so special Saturday night to share the CBC Competitors hard work with you all!  Thanks for the support and including some of the people who are not social dance regulars into our community!

This week is the big week!  We are bringing 22 students and 3 professionals to CBC Dancesport Competition this Thursday Night - Saturday Night!  This is located only 10min from the studio at the Hilton in Polaris!  If you want to come support all of your friends, Friday will be our biggest day, with 19 of the 22 students performing at some point between 8am and 2pm!  It's only $25 at the door to come watch and cheer on your studio!  If you have any other questions about time, location, when you can check things out, just ask!

The most asked question this week is, but do you have a party Saturday?  Yes, as a matter of fact we do.  Kristie Waltz will be teaching an all-levels Country 2-Step Class at 7pm and David will be in the studio being sure everything runs smoothly for our regular 8-10pm Party!

So, you asked, and we listened, many people have mentioned that they still want to do a West Coast Swing Rally even though the International West Coast Swing Rally was not put out this year... so join us on September 2nd at 4:00pm to experience a complimentary first class and learn all of the details!  Two years ago, I asked Stevie Bliss to help me by choreographing a fun - all levels West Coast Swing Routine for our community, and it's time to dust it off and let Columbus enjoy it!  Listen to our song... Also, don't forget to get your ticket for our CASH BASH Table - November 23rd - 26th is the Annual Cleveland WCS Weekend, Workshops, and Competition.  We are putting a group together to go, learn, and hang out and even share rooms and rides.

Polka Classes start THIS Wednesday (August 16th!!)

Mark your calendars for Schmidt's Columbus Oktoberfest Dance Outing!!!  Mallory grew up in Wisconsin attending Oktoberfest, donning her dirndl, and dancing the Polka!  She is excited to share her love for German culture and dance with us!  We will be hosting Polka Prep Classes on Wednesday evenings starting August 16th.  Then everyone can meet on Saturday September 9th at Noon at Oktoberfest to dance to Mike and the Polkaholics!!

Dancing with our Columbus Stars is a Charity Event we work closely with each year to help provide food for families at Thanksgiving!  $40 Feeds a Family, and we have multiple ways you can help!

3 ways to help feed families this Thanksgiving

1. Food Drive 

From now until November we'll be accepting the following items (or any other food that does not expire until at least December 2023)  Before September 10th, each item is a vote for your favorite dance team!

2. Vote/Donate online for your favorite Dance Team

We have 3 Crystal Ballroom Teams this year!

Every $1 is a vote... $40 feeds a family, so I'd like to challenge each and every one of you to feed at least one family this Thanksgiving!!

3. In Studio Fundraiser Dance!!

$15 Cash or $10 Cash plus Canned Goods!  You choose which Crystal Ballroom team gets the votes!

4. Dancing with Columbus Stars Fundraising Event

This event is at Villa Milano on September 15th, 2023

Reserve your spot at one of our tables now!!  The sooner you reserve, the better the table location!!!

We are reserving tables based on who chooses to purchase tickets with us.  Your ticket purchase will be split evenly between the 3 Crystal Ballroom teams and you'll get a chance to sit with our group for the event. 

VIP Tickets are $150 (feed 3 families with this donation)

Sponsored Table Tickets are $100 (feed 2 families with this donation)
